SCHEDULING with Shentell
We strive for excellence in "priority scheduling'.We do not schedule more than one client concurrently with the same stylist for multiple hour services. We ask that all clients arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your service if possible. We cannot guarantee service to clients that arrive 15 minutes or later than their scheduled appointment time. An inconvenience fee of $15 will be charged for clients 15 minutes late. We reserve the right to refuse service and retain an advance deposit of clients who are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment . Online booking is available 24/7 but only accessible 12 hrs before appointment you are requesting. Stylist, however, are not available 24/7. Please be mindful of business hours before calling our personal cellphones.
Services will not be changed once you are at your appointment if time does not permit between clients.Example-if you schedule for a relaxer and style do not ask to get a Sew-in.Appointments are made according the time allotted for the service to create a professional salon flow.
ACCOMPANYING GUEST AND CHILDREN
In efforts to make your experience at Designs by Shentell tranquil and comforting, we must ask that children under the age of 12 not accompany you to the salon unless being serviced that day. If you bring your child and our tranquil atmosphere is interrupted you will be asked to make adjustments or even reschedule.Thank you for your cooperation.NO CHILDREN ALLOWED UNLESS BEING SERVICED. No Extra Guest allowed!!!
Only cash or VISA, MASTER CARD or DISCOVER CARD excepted for payment.Payments must be made at the time of service. This is a same day pay business. Prices are NON-NEGOTIABLE. Credit card payments may be charged a surcharge of 2.75% beginning 1/1/14.
Consultations must be done in advance and in person if you have questions styles.They will not be done over the phone or social media. Your hair needs to be seen in person to give the best advice. DO NOT STOP BY THE SALON TO "CHAT". We conduct business at all times so you will be charged for the time and I will not interrupt another clients time to consult. All consults must be scheduled.
Solicitors of any kind are unwelcomed in this salon. We do only business related to hair and our customers we provide. You will be asked to leave immediately for soliciting.
Appointments not cancelled before 24 hrs can result in a 50% fee of service requested that day. No shows/no call result in a 100% fee. All appointments must be booked through StyleSeat with a card to reserve your appointment.
Constant cancellations or no show will result in dismissal off the stylist books. It is inconsiderate to hold slots that someone else can have as well as you are conflicting with the stylist income and the way she trys to operate a professional business.We know things do come up but Please dont make cancellations/no shows a habit(up to 3 or more times in a row,in the same week,month,etc) or stylist just may not return your calls,emails,text for appointments. This is a serious business and we have NO TOLERANCE for clientele that are unable to adhere with our professional environment.
Please respect all salon policies in order to keep an ongoing good client,stylist relationship.
We are not 24/7 hairstylist. We have traditional business hours with the exception of online booking. PLEASE DO NOT CALL/TEXT OUR CELLPHONES AFTER OUR POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. If you cannot wait to make an appointment within our business hours, that is the benefits of online booking. All calls/text after business hours will be ignored until the next business day.
**Loud CELLPHONE USAGE UNDER THE DRYER is NOT PERMITTED. CLIENTS TEND TO BE VERY LOUD ON CALLS INTERRUPTING THE TRANQUILITY OF THE ATMOSPHERE. WE WOULD RATHER NOT KNOW YOUR PERSONAL BUSINESS. YOU MAY BE ASKED TO STEP OUTSIDE/to the back TO COMPLETE IMPORTANT CALLS.
We understand that many of you visit us on your lunch break. Please locate to the back of the salon in the designated area for food. Eating/food is not allowed all over the salon to prevent "crumbs for unexpected critters". There are signs to remind you but we will ask you to go to the back if we see food.

We pride ourselves in providing the best customer service to each valued client. If such rules and policies are not in place this business can not and would not have run so smoothly and professionally thus far. As long as everyone is on the same page we all can get a good experience with clean,healthy, beautiful hair which is both our goal as stylist and yours as the client.It may sounds as if we are running a mini bootcamp here but we still offer the upmost respect with a smile and more.
